Academy Class To Honor Fallen Deputy David March

Deputy David MarchWHO: SHERIFF LEE BACA, DISTRICT ATTORNEY STEVE COOLEY, AND SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT ACADEMY CLASS #355 RECRUITS AND STAFF.

WHAT: THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT ACADEMY CLASS #355 WILL CONCLUDE THEIR 18 WEEKS OF TRAINING WITH THE TRADITIONAL COLORS RUN. THE FIVE-MILE RUN IS A RIGHT OF PASSAGE FOR EACH GRADUATING ACADEMY CLASS.

EACH CLASS DEDICATES THEIR ARDUOUS TRAINING AND THE COLORS RUN TO THE MEMORY OF A FALLEN PEACE OFFICER; ACADEMY CLASS #355 HAS CHOSEN TO HONOR THE MEMORY OF DEPUTY DAVID MARCH. THE RUN BEGINS AT TEMPLE STATION, STOPS AT THE SPOT AND MONUMENT WHERE DEPUTY MARCH WAS SLAIN, AND CONCLUDES AT THE IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY WITH A PANCAKE BREAKFAST.
