Two Shot at Nightclub

SHERIFF’S HOMICIDE DETECTIVES ARE CONTINUING THEIR INVESTIGATION INTO THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE SHOOTING DEATH OF A MAN AND THE WOUNDING OF ANOTHER MAN  WHICH OCCURRED IN THE 2800 BLOCK OF FIRESTONE BOULEVARD, SOUTH GATE.  THE SHOOTING OCCURRED ON FEBRUARY 18, 2007 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:23 A.M.

OFFICERS FROM THE SOUTH GATE POLICE DEPARTMENT WERE IN THE AREA WHEN THEY HEARD GUNSHOTS.   THEY DISCOVERED TWO GUNSHOT VICTIMS AT THE LOCATION, WHICH IS A LOCAL NIGHTCLUB .  IT APPEARS AS THOUGH A FIGHT HAD ENSUED INSIDE THE NIGHTCLUB AND CONTINUED OUTSIDE ONTO THE SIDEWALK.

ONE VICTIM, WHO IS DESCRIBED ONLY AS A MALE HISPANIC ADULT, AGE 20, WAS TRANSPORTED TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL.  THE SECOND VICTIM, A MALE HISPANIC, AGE 21, WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.

THERE ARE NO FURTHER DETAILS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.
