Student Stabbed On High School Campus – UPDATE

SHERIFF’S HOMICIDE DETECTIVES ARE CONTINUING THEIR INVESTIGATION INTO THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE STABBING DEATH OF A MALE JUVENILE WHICH OCCURRED AT WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL, 10800 BLOCK OF SOUTH DENKER AVENUE, ATHENS.

DETECTIVES HAVE LEARNED THAT AT APPROXIMATELY 3:00 PM, AS STUDENTS WERE EXITING THE SCHOOL, A FIGHT BETWEEN THREE STUDENTS OCCURRED OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL GYMNASIUM.  DURING THE FIGHT, THE VICTIM RECEIVED INJURIES TO HIS UPPER TORSO WHICH WERE CONSISTENT WITH STAB WOUNDS.

THE VICTIM WAS TRANSPORTED TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD. 

TWO MALE BLACKS BETWEEN THE AGES OF SIXTEEN TO SEVENTEEN ARE SUSPECTED OF COMMITTING THE CRIME.  ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING THE STABBING ARE ASKED TO CONTACT, THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT, HOMICIDE BUREAU, AT (323) 890-5500.
